When it comes to making connections and social participation, the students will be able to provided feedback through gaggle email. It is important for students to provide feedback to their classmates, this will help with retention and understanding of the concept taught. Students will be taught on how to provide appropriate comments to their classmates. As the students complete their animations they will share them with their classmates via presentation style and email. This will give the students the opportunity to build a social group.

I have registered my account using my school (work) email. I had to go in and create a couple of animations to be able to explain to the students what they will doing. It is really friendly to navigate. It goes through a tutorial when you start creating your animation. Teachers can go in to the dashboard that highlights student's work and allows to access the different parts of the site to browse content or create their own animations to teach a new concept. I have really enjoyed this tool and I know for sure that my students will enjoy using to create their digital story telling. I have included a short story. I will let you know how this activity goes.

BP4_Prezi
If you have not experienced Prezi, it is time you do. It is an interactive tool, which you can include text, images, video and more. Learners will get engaged in creating presentations. These presentations can be about any skill or concept the student has learned and wants to share in a different manner.
Here is an example of a Prezi created by me. Click below:

(images are pre-licensed for use in Prezi)
It takes time and practice in completing the project. Prezi provides a simple tutorial that you can watch on how to do a presentation. First, you have decide what you are going to start with text or image. Then you use the zoom button to enlarge or make smaller. There is an insert button to add images, a frame button to frame everything you need to frame, you also add a path on how you want your presentation to go.
I have enjoyed using Prezi and I know I have to continue practicing so I can get better at using it. There is also an educational license of Prezi for teachers to use. You will need to use your school email to get the educational license.

PE3_iMovie
I completed in watching the iMovie Essential Training in Lynda.com. There are many features that I was aware of that now I can use to better my iMovie projects. I really enjoyed the course and the instructor did a fine job in the presentation.
I created an iMovie project with a couple of the features I learned in the iMovie course. I trimmed the thumbnail, added different transitions, and added the sound of birds. I did some other tweaks in my video. I know that this project is not a great one, but tried to add as many features that I could recall from the course to see how much I remembered. So watch the video and see if you can pick out the features I used to create this video. Here is my video. Enjoy!
Even though I completed the iMovie course, I still have much to learn and practice. Actually, the key word is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, and PRACTICE. This is how I plan to get better in the iMovie application.

The training has gone well. I have learned many new things, I did not know existed.
Organizing tools, which help with rating your clips, tagging your thumbnails for future use or to find the easier. I did not know that iMovie has a feature to faces of people, what a neat feature. Also, how you can move events from your Mac to en external hard drive to help space.
Learning all the new editing tools to create a great project. Where did these tools come from? You select the clips you want to add to your project and learning how to trim, fine-tune, split, crop and rotate. Where were all these tools? Now, I am learning how I can improve in my personal filmmaking movies. I can't wait to keep learning more about iMovie.

The first thing I learned was to import different videos from different devices.
Also, there are icons in the toolbar that I did not know what they were for.
The camera icon serves to import video from a connected camera. I learned about the flip icon so, if I need more space to work on my project. The slider helps you see the thumbnails smaller or larger. Instead of using the hand to drag the image, I can just hit a button and it moves into my project. I can also mute the audio will I am skimming.

BP2_GoAnimate
I chose one of the approved Web 2.0 tools my district allows us to use. GoAnimte could be used for story telling by creating a character.
To create your own account you go to www.goanimate.com, but if you are a teacher you can create your account at www.goanimate4school.com, you just need you school email address.
Once you have an account and you login, you start with you first animation. The site will guide you step by step in creating your first animation.
First, you choose your setting, second, your character, third, you add voice by typing what you want the character to say, and then you can choose to movement of the character.
Enjoy a sample animation I created! Click on the link below.

It is an easy to use animation tool. It is a creative way to animate stories. The students would enjoy making their own stories and presenting them to their class. It would bring out the collaboration in a project. There could be group discussion about the animated story.
This is one of the Web 2.0 tools I would use with my class.
I hope you learned something new, I know I did. Please feel free to comment or give suggestions.
